BEST Strawberry Bread in the World!

Our strawberries are slowing down.  It could be that we're at year 4 with our crop, but we're still getting enough for strawberry jam and the BEST strawberry bread in the world!

My daughter's been making this delicious recipe, 4 loaves at a time.

As soon as it's out of the oven, it's devoured!

Strawberry Bread
 3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup cooking oil

Mix it all up - by hand.

Add the berries at the last.

Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes in small loaf pans, or around 60 minutes in 2 large loaf pans.

Remember each oven is different, so make sure and UNDER-SET your timer, so you don't over bake the bread!

Have you made strawberry bread before?

Our family thinks it's the BEST!

Looks so yummy! How would it work with blueberries? I still have some left from last year that I need to use up before we start picking again.

Yes! I have a very similar recipe. It's wonderful!...and freezes well, too! I have frozen loaves and given them out at Christmas before.

my favorite thing to do with extra strawberries is to make freezer jam. it keeps it's beautiful color that way!

I'm going to give this a try today.
I may not have quite enough strawberries but I could add in blueberries with it.
Wonder if that will work?
