Extravagant Easter Love!


Mostly what God does is love you.

Keep company with Him and learn a life of love.

Observe how Christ loved us.

His love was not cautious but extravagant.

He didn’t love in order to get something from us, but to give everything of Himself to us.

Love like that
. (Eph 5, The Message)
 
I’m thankful for this extravagant love.  It’s because of Easter and the resurrection of Christ, that I have been able to experience a love like this.  

And through this love, I can reach out and give of myself to others.

I can take this love and let all expectations die.  In order to give, I don’t have to always look for something in return.  

This means when I have guests in to my home, I need to let the ideas “they haven’t had us over,” or, “it’s their turn,” go. 

I’m supposed to love like that.

And not just on Easter, but every day.

May you and your family experience this extravagant love this Easter season!

What beautiful words Sandy. You would be so proud of the dinner I'm making for tomorrow, especially the inexpensive table decorations my daughter and I made. Hope to post about it on Monday.
