$3 Springy Find!

I walked out to my front yard to pick some tulips and there was a gentle spring rain coming down.

It felt so fresh on my face as I bent down to cut these beautiful red tulips.

If I don't enjoy them now, I told myself, in a few days their beauty will fade.

I also love springtime because of yard sales. And last Saturday morning I snagged this lovely $3 plant hanger to put on my front patio.

This looks like a great project for someone (but not me - no time!) to make on their own.

Wrap with your favorite paper (wallpaper?)

And decoupage

Tie the color of print in with your front door

I've found that these containers are not always water-tight, so I put my tulips in a Ziploc bag and added water

And hung on my front porch

My $3 find on Saturday was perfect for spring.

Perfect with my red front door.

And a perfect welcoming look for when our friends, family and guests come to say hello!

What's on your porch, or hanging on your front door?

Check out what Rhoda did with decoupage - brilliant!

And Sandy Toes sillouhette fun - so creative!

I love Wendy's 200th post giveaway - check out these pillows!

Look at the oil paints and frames Kelly came up with from WalMart - smart girl!

What an awesome find! Your tulips, in that beautiful container looks wonderful. I'm ashamed to say, since moving into my apartment, I haven't done anything yet to my entrance. I'm still working on the inside, but eventually will get around to the outside. ♥

I have a wreath on my door with a little bird (REAL) that has made a nest in it....it almost attacked our piano teacher last week when she tried to come in....

I love what you did...it's beautiful.

Thanks Sandy, for the mention! Decoupage is really fun. I love your container now. I've got to get busy with my front entrance too. Have a basket on the door, but I need a little more on the front steps. xo

Great idea about lining the inside with the zip top bag. I'll have to remember that!

Beautiful! So much more interesting than a flower wreath. It reminds me of a May basket.

I LOVE IT!!! I just can't bring myself to put a hole in my wall outside...am I strange??? Maybe I can find one of those 3M hooks...see if that might work.

I have been searching for one of those containers forever. I've googled and googled to no avail. Maybe I mam using wrong search words. I did find one, but it was made out of straw and my front door isn't covered. I love your blog. I'll be back!

This is wonderful! I love the ziploc idea! Thanks for that little piece of knowledge to stash! :)

It's kind of funny because my across the breezeway neighbor in our apt. bldg. has seasonally changing, beautiful wreaths, decorations, etc. My door presently has nothing. It just hasn't been a priority since we enter through the back door and I never see it/think about it and there is so much other "nest feathering" that I have been doing since we moved into our new place.

The thing that's funny though is that some of my friends who have come over at different times have commented that they thought that must be my door because it looks so much more "me" than a plain old door. :)

All in good time . . .

Great idea to put your flowers in a ziploc bag. I'll have to remember that, especially for arrangments outdoors! Your wallpaper covered hanger turned out great! So colorful!
