Tasty Breakfast Burrito

I always love an inexpensive getaway!

The outdoors is the perfect place for my husband and me, and it only cost $12.

Dinner, hiking, fire, time alone with my husband.

Coffee never tastes better than in the outdoors. We really love camping.

And food that's heated by the fire is just the BEST!

Pre-made breakfast burrito made at home. Quick and easy.

Pull meat/rice mixture from the freezer, add cheese and salsa and wrap in a tortilla, and then in foil.

And inspiration just seems to come differently while outside. My husband and I both had projects we were working on - with no interruptions, except Haggis chasing squirrels.

What do you and your husband do for inexpensive getaways?

My husband & I love to hit the road and camp in our mini van up in the White Mountains of Arizona. The perfect 24 hour get away! You're right Sandy, everything tastes better outside in the fresh air with no interruptions.

With our kids still pretty little, getting away isn't too easy at this point. But, just the time together after they go to bed is cherished. Quiet, talking time. I'll take what I can get at this time in my life! But looking forward to more possibilities...

We love to get-away, even though we don't have kids at home, it's still good to get away from the house for "US" time. We love state parks; camping, hiking, exploring...we like retreats, or just silly fun (in 2 weeks we are spending one night in Orlando and hitting 2 theme parks).

I am not a camper...but wherever you went would be perfect for my husband if I was a camper...camping and his computer, that might be heaven. We haven't gotten away together since our little one was born 2 1/2 years ago...but have a trip to Vegas planned for the end of the month...I know it's not inexpensive, but after 2 1/2 years we decided we could splurge a bit...and yes, I am sure he will be taking his computer:)

Love that burrito idea. We least expensive thing we do is go for early morning walks on the beach...
Not as inexpensive we take off and drive somewhere new up the coast and discover a new town or towns...

We have an RV and like to take short trips to the coast. No shopping, no eating out. Just love the long walks, relaxing in the RV, reading or computer time, and eating good food that we've fixed ourselves. Your breakfast burrito would be perfect, we'll give them a try next time. Thank you!

Love the burrito, it looks so yummy. We don't go out much at all these days, our favorite thing to do is watch movies and just relax together. We only have one daughter who is 8 so we can do this nearly every Friday once she's gone to bed and don't have to pay for a sitter :)

Yummy burrito! My hubby and I usually send the kids away overnight-they love the treat of being with their grandparents or friends and we get a great getaway at home. We've even gotten really good at ignoring the phone and household tasks for 24 hours-it's heaven!

We love to travel and getaway together and we make it possible by using an airline credit card to get miles and using priceline and hotwire for hotels. We also jump at the chance to get "bumped" for vouchers to fly free if at will at all work with our schedule. We are going on an anniversary trip very cheaply on vouchers from getting bumped at Christmas and getting to stay at a very nice hotel for WAY under the published rate on a deal we got on priceline. My husband is wonderful at spending the time to research out all of those types of things for us. Kelly

We ask the grandparents to babysit and we grab out tennis rackets and hit the public courts near our house with a cooler of water. A perfectly free date and one that pays huge dividends....

My husband and I got a little time alone last weekend. Since money is tight, we do a trade with my parents who live about 20 min. away. My parents come and stay with the kids and we go to their house to stay the night. My mom leaves out snacks and pop for us (kind of like a hotel mini bar). We get to stay a night away and it's free (including child care!). Plus grandpa and grandma get some time with the boys. We caught up on some reading, took a walk on a nature trail and ate out. I can't wait to do it again!
