Barney Butter GIVEAWAY!

Barney Butter is back! And Jennifer, the maker of this delicious treat, is giving away 2 jars!

But let me start with this story.  At our son's soccer game last week, my friend Dee made a batch of cookies with Barney Butter. Those around me helped devour the entire bag! Everyone kept asking what they were!  And then Dee told me she made this recipe - YUM!

What is Barney Butter?
It's just like peanut butter but better because it's made from almonds! My friend Jennifer is the master Barney Butter maker – I’m so impressed! (Check out Barney Butter recipes, here!)

What makes Barney Butter different?
With Barney Butter you get the same kind of peanut butter creaminess you grew up loving (or super-chunk if you like crunchy), only better with less than ½ the saturated fat of peanut butter, and more fiber, calcium, iron, vitamin E and magnesium than peanut butter. And that’s not all – Barney Butter is manufactured in an Almond Only Facility - no chance of cross contamination with peanut dust or peanut particles- which is a great solution for the peanut-allergic. Dieters and athletes love it. But everyone really eats it for the taste.

COMMENT
It's easy! Tell me your family's favorite cookie made in your home?

2 people will win a jar of Barney Butter!

Tweet about the giveaway, your name goes in twice. (Come back and tell me, please.)

FIND OUT
Come back on Monday to see if you won!

The cookie we really love in our home is Peanut Butter.

It's just the best, and when you add a chocolate KISS in the middle, like my Dad's wife Ginny, does - it's even better!

A few months ago when I had foot surgery Ginny brought us several meals, and these cookies - which disappeared quickly.

Good luck on the giveaway and make sure and check out Barney Butter and pass the news on to your friends! Oh, and my friend Grace has 7 fabulous recipes that she has cooked with Barney Butter, here!

Oh yum! My favorite cookies to make are monster cookies but they don't get made often b/c of a son with a peanut allergy. Our standard cookie is oatmeal chocolate chip. I make a double batch and freeze in balls, then bake when we want fresh cookies.

Wendy said...

Our favorite cookie would be peanut butter with chocolate chips or with the peanut butter cups as you posted.

I would have to say good old chocolate chips have been our favorite. But recently I started making peanut butter cookies that are gluten-free and my kids LOVE them!! The greatest thing about them is theres only 4 ingredients! The Barney Butter would be fantastic for this i'm sure.

We seriously don't have a favorite cookie recipe. We like 'em all! Although, if I'd have to guess it'd have to be a cookie with nuts in it (like the nut shortbread cookie I'm eating right now).

I've never heard of Barney Butter. Is this something available only in certain regions? I'd certainly love to try it! We generally eat lots of peanut butter around here but that's because the cost of almond butter is sky high.

Thanks for the chance to win some Barney Butter.

We love to add crunched up "bought" cookies to our homemades when they are on sale. (We don't like the boughts, but when they are cheap...) So we will add nutterbutters to our choc chips or crunched oreos. It makes them sooooo yummy. I bet adding barney butter would make them evn better.

We've bought Barney Butter before and it was a hit with my children!

Chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies are high on the list. My daughter is actually allergic to peanuts, so we have made cookies with SoyNut Butter and Sunbutter (made from sunflower seeds), but she's never tried almond butter. All of the brands we've found have been manufactured by a company that also process peanuts in the same facility. We'd love to give Barney Butter a try!

Sounds delicious! Our favorite cookies are what I call cow patties, but I've also heard them reffered to as boiled cookies, no bake cookies, etc. But they are basically oatmeal, pb, sugar, cocoa, milk and a little vanilla! So easy and very good, I would love to try them with Blarney Butter substituted for the pb!!
