The Best Nesst Journal GIVEAWAY!

I don't know if you're like me - but I just love a NEW journal. So I was very happy when my NEW journal arrived in the mail a few weeks ago.

Let me introduce to you Ness, from The Best Nesst, a sweet friend who makes and sells her own journals! High quality journals, too!

I use a journal for writing down things I've learned from whatever book I'm reading, or morning quiet time. I have stacks of journals where I used to write every day, especially in my single years.  I am thinking about getting back to "every day" journaling ...

I also use a journal for jotting down notes or ideas, making grocery lists, or planning a menu for a party. I've even planned seating arrangements for larger dinner parties in a journal.

Part of being a good hostess is being organized and planning ahead!

I just love the color and the beautiful verse.

The tabs are helpful, too!

And Ness sent me some of her fabulous magnets!  All very classy!

My kids younger, in the leaves, and now twice their size (with Grandpa) on the fridge.

What to win
Ness is giving away ONE journal!

How to win
Are you giddy, like me, when you get a BRAND NEW journal?

Tell me if you use a journal, and if you're picky about them (I do not like really thin paper!), if you like the spiraled kind, lined paper, etc. and what you use your journal for?

When to win
I'll be announcing the winner on Friday!  Good Luck!

Thanks Ness, for this fun giveaway! I love your beautiful cards, too! (If you get a chance, read on her sidebar - Do you need some encouragement?)

I love a good journal, but like you I don't use them for journaling.

I'm not picky.

But Ness's journal is beautiful.

I love journals and journel occasionally. I love to pick them up after awhile and read of where I've been in life. I will be leaving this friday for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and up there I journal alot! I like lines in my journals. I think it has to do with my OCD but I don't like to see my sentences go up or down. Lines keep me in line! Hey there might be a spiritual message there! hum....

I try to live a paperlesss life for the earth but if I did keep one, these are beautiful!

I've written in a journal almost every day since high school (thanks for the inspiration, Mum!). It's a habit to write a list of everything I am grateful for right before I go to sleep, so my dreams are filled with blessings. I carefully select my journal at the end of each year, so I can start fresh for the next year. I am currently writing on a lined journal with an attached ribbon (to help me open up to the page where I left off writing). Thanks for sharing your creative gifts, Ness!

I do like a great journal. I would also like to get back to journaling every day. I have been using a spiral bound notebook for project ideas measurements etc. It seems when I visit my daughter there is a new project (with measurements) and I am finding I need to be a little more organized with that. I would also start to do more meal planning and keeping up with it. I guess I would use it as a good all around planner. Really like the design on yours. Jackie

I love to journal - I lost my mother when I was young and my father not long after that. The only memories I have are the ones in my head - For my 3 boys I journal our life stories so that they have more than just the memories in their head. And this way when they have children and their children ask how old they were when they lost their first tooth - they'll know.

I adore journals. Some have even gone so far as to say that I'm an addict. I'm a note maker. I'm a list maker. I have a journal for just about everything - phone calls, lists of things to do, menu plans and grocery lists, bills and budget, prayers & bible verses, etc. Like you I used to journal every day when I was single - I even did it for a while after I became a mom.
I am picky. I prefer something that opens completely without ruining the binding (I hate that) and the paper needs to be nice (not too thin), and I like to choose the color/cover based on it's future use. Yes, I'm OCD.
LOVE this giveaway.

I use journals for prayer lists, party planning, and keeping track of what books I have read. But I can always use a new one! I need lined pages (blank ones are intimidating to me, weird, I know).

Anonymous said...

I adore journals!! I like lined paper, not too thin and MUST have great colors. I use them for all kinds of things...prayers, projects, a bedside journal for when I wake at night and need to write something down to get it out of my head so I can sleep, sometimes for lists, and always for creative thoughts.

Great giveaway!!

I love journals too. Right now, I do not journal every day. But I love lists just about as much as I love journals, so I use one for a list of things I'd like to do before I die, another for movies and books I'd like to read, and what I call a Gratitude Journal. I saw this on Oprah when I was 15 (10 years ago!!) and I loved it: for as many days as possible, you write down what you are blessed with, and soon enough, you find yourself going about your daily routines truly grateful for that seat on the bus, or that your husband made a sweet comment.

That's another journal I have: nice things Michael has done or said to me, so that when I'm really angry at him, I can just look through the journal and see how truly lucky I am.

What a thoughtful giveaway. Her journals are gorgeous! =0)

I love my journals. I thought that I would not journal as much when I started blogging but that didnt happen. I use journals for my morning devoional, I keep a small jounal at the computer to take notes on ideas for my blog posts. I also do the same as you and make my grocey lists and log everyday happening in them. I get a journal from my little sister for my birthday every year. I like thicker paper and one that opens flat so that I can wright easyer, but if it's a gift ... I'm not picky.

Kjersten said...

I love journals...spiral bound so they lie flat when I write. I like lined paper for journaling and blank paper for doodling. Ness's journals are beautiful!

Yes, I also love a good journal. And I love pretty journals. And I've never had a journal with tabs. Please include me.

I, too, use to journal FAR more when I was single. Not sure why, I worked outside the home then, now I don't...go figure???
I still use journals though, for Bible study, "thoughts", planning trips and Christmas, and exercise stuff.
The only thing I'm picky about is lines, gotta have 'em...and prettiness is a must! ;)

Amy Kinser said...

I do enjoy writing down my thoughts, hopes, dreams, prayers and praises. I guess I am not picky about what I write in but I do like something where my pen flows well. I don't like squeaky pens or pencils while I am writing.

God bless, Amy

I am using my journal for writing out my prayers and for Sunday sermon notes. I love to go back and see prayers that are answered. I have one of Ness's journals and it is great for keeping all of these things organized.

I like spiral journals because I like flipping them over. I'm not a fan of thin paper either.

I used to use a journal more and desire to do so again. I'm attracted to fun and pretty covers.

What a great giveaway!!

I only have about ten pages left in my current journal, so this would be great. I love journaling during my quite time because it is fun to go back and read through the entries and see answered prayers and God's faithfulness.

The journal is gorg!

I still have my journal from when I was around 9! :) *lol* It's a Keroppi on, and in last drawer of my dresser along with the rest of my journals. My favorite I got my from late grandmother, it's a hardback with thick pages, and the "Footprints" poem on the front and a beach scene. She gave it to me at my 8th grade graduation. The spine is all broken up, but I keep packing itup andmoving it everywhere we go. :)

Kathryn said...

I love new journals, too. I use my journal as the "catch all" for all my thoughts....sermon notes from Sunday, to-do lists, notes from my quiet times, and I write letters to my kids that I hope to give them one day.

I'm not picky. I have many different kinds.

Thanks for the opportunity to win one! :)

I love journals, too! I use mine for everything: memories, lists, menus, notes, guest lists, gift ideas, etc. My weakness is unusual looking journals - never the straight off the shelves looking ones. And I've never had two that were even remotely similar.

Mimi said...

I love journals and use them for everything. If it is a list making journal I love spiral so that I can tear pages out and throw them away. I do love book bond journals for things I want to keep for a long time:)

The cuter they are the harder they are to resist:)

I love journals. I use them for prayers and to write my "vision" for the future and what God is doing around me.

I love thicker paper with lines. It just seems sturdier (If that's even a word) I like lines to keep me "in line". Without them I write all over the place, different sizes etc.

Be blessed!

I love journaling. I'm not always as regular about it as I used to be, but I still get immense satisfaction out of a crisp new journal- the possibilities are endless! Right now I use marble composition notebooks simply for the sake of cost. I drool over the ones in the bookstore though! I love the one Ness sent you! It's beautiful!

I do journal and prefer a bound book with lined paper. I can work without lines, but it gets all squirrely.

I don't journal as much as I used to when I was single, but I enjoy it so much. I love being able to look back and see how far I have come:)

Jena said...

I just love journals period (lined, unlined, thick paper, thin paper, sprial bound or not). There is something about a fresh new journal. Empty, blank pages just waiting to be written on. I am dying to write something on them, I can't wait, but at the same time it's hard to make that first mark on a clean page. I write about my craft projects that I have done and when I started/completed them, the materials used, who I gave it to (or if I kept is myself) and any notes that I might find useful later. I have another journal that I write down ideas that I have for craft projects, color combos, patterns and fabrics that I want to try, etc. Lots of fun.

I love love love LOVE journals! I have so many of them. I love school supplies in general and have a love affair with paper. I am an avid scrapbooker, too. Did I mention I adore paper?

I keep a journal for gratitude, general thoughts, prayer requests.

I'm not too picky because I always buy some when i see cute ones.

The one shown is adorable. I am the coordinator for MOPS kids at my church and if I had that one I would use it for sign-ins. Our theme this year is "Life on Planet Mom" and the kids are following suit with "Taking Care of God's Creation".

I love new journals, too! I prefer them unlined, but they're hard to find. Right now I'm using a big fat red unlined one I happened upon at Borders at a really good price. I journal things that I'm learning in Bible study, process things God is teaching me, and for planning things (like a party or a trip). Thanks for the opportunity!

Oh yes! I do love a good journal, but I am very picky about them-I like a spiral bound one, with lines and lately I've liked the ones with little pockets on the inside-high maintence, huh?

I use a journal almost daily for my Bible reading and one for dreams and a separate one for home school stuff.

Those are beautiful journals!
I'd love to have one.

LOVE journaling! Have been journaling since I was about 13, although not as much since marriage and kids. First off, the journal absolutely MUST have a spiral binding--I can't stand it when you can't fold the front cover around to the back! Paper must be lined if I'm writing, if I'm using it as a journal for quotes or cute things my kids have said it doesn't have to have lines as the pages can be filled with pictures and the writing can be big or small. A couple types of journals I keep are for each kid-I write down things about them they may want to know about when they're older, and also a prayer journal for answered prayers.

Donnetta said...

Definitely a journal gal here! I use them to record thoughts from books, my personal quiet time, sermons, etc. I am also using a journal as my prayer notebook. Not very picky but I do prefer lines to keep me straight. :-)

These are beautiful!

Angie Acapella said...

This is so funny because I just pulled out old journals the other day going back over 10 years. I like a pretty cover and I like lines on my paper to keep things neat, because when I'm writing, I tend to go really fast, and the lines help me to stay a little neater.
I guess you could say I am pretty picky. I bought a cheap journal the other day at a dollar store and got it home and was just not happy with it. If I'm gonna take the time to write, I guess I want a pretty book that's all mine! Anyway, these journals are gorgeous, I hope I win!

i am still looking for the perfect journal. sometimes i will use a spiral journal, right now, i am using a journal size red leather filofax binder with loose pages and index tabs.

i use it for everything: measurements and swatches for home projects, the never-ending grocery list, a list of spices i have so i don't buy dups (currently upgrading from fifty-cent cheapies to $4 mccormick!), books i am wanting to read, you name it. i put a subject on each page and add/refer to it as needed!

your journal is so utterly beautiful, i would keep it under my pillow to record dreams!

great giveaway,great hostess!

I love journals and I write notes on personal details, when something amazing happened and what was said. Or just the day to day things. There was a time when my journal was full of details for family wedding or baby showers. I'm so glad I wrote experiences down because time goes by and sometimes an important detail is forgotten. I'll use stickers as reminders for birthdays, holidays or special occasions. I would love a new journal.

I used to journal a lot. Four kids later, and I have stopped. This is a good reminder to start back.

I always liked pretty journals that remind me of spring. I need lines in order to write where I can read my thoughts again.

I would love to have journals from my great grandmother or grandmother detailing their lives. I hope my family will enjoy reading what I write one day.

I love journals. But what I really like are the journals from the bestnesst. I have one, but I could always use more... :) They are SO cute! And the great thing about her stuff is that she can customize her journals to fit whatever your preference: lines/no lines, etc.

I use mine for making lists: grocery, things to do, prayer requests, etc.

Adorable journal!
I love to journal...I have one I call my morning pages which is for my quiet times...I have journals that just record everyday occurences...prayer journals...some with just quotes and scriptures...I could go on and on...I have crates of journals and just this past spring I ran across the journal I used when I was at the end of my senior year in high school through my first couple years of college and it contained when I met my future husband and how we feel in love...I let my 16 year old daughter read the entries...it made me realize how precious and priceless journals are!

Oh...I am a little picky...I also do not like thin pages that can bleed ink...I like journals that lay flat when you write in them...so I tend to use Moleskine journals quite a lot.
