Gearing up for Pool Time!

Our kids have already been swimming, but it's way too cold for me.

And yes, we're gearing up for summer and pool fun!

One of the reasons we bought this 30+ year old home was for the pool and the enjoyment we knew it would bring.  At 30 years, our pool is in great shape and well built. We haven't had any problems with it, even though we know it doesn't look perfect, as it is on the older side!

The fun, laughter, enjoyment, and refreshment that it brings our family is creating memories that will never fade.

And for that I'm grateful.  Now we just need the sun to warm up the waters a wee-bit more!

Pools, sprinklers, Slip n' Slides ... how does your family enjoy "water" in the summertime?

Well we have the big blue on one side of us and the Indian River on the other. We fish and make sand castles over on the big blue and boat, and tube on the river. I wish we had a pool as it would be fun to "swim" LOL.
Hugs.

We go to a community pool all summer, and one week-long stay at Atlantic Beach, NC. I think your pool is perfect!

We live on the gulf of mexico and have a bay on the other side. We built our pool about 5 years ago and often refer to it as Camp Bahama Shores, as my kids use it on a daily basis in the summertime.

We try to get down to the Cape (Cape Cod),here in Massachusetts, a couple of times during the summer, so the girls can play in the ocean. Last year they discovered "boogie boarding" and had a blast!

We entertain with our pool all the time. Love having the pool and I don't consider any work.

It was also a requirement when we moved into our home.

We too have a pool and spend endless hours in it...we are beach lovers too...grilling burgers by the pool with chips, salad and a cold watermelon is way up there on our list of good eats and good times.

We are putting a pool in next year. We belong to a country club but will drop that after the pool is in. We go to the club about 3-4 times a week depending on what all is going on..we also enjoy the sprinkler action.

We will someday have a pool as we need one according to fire code for the size of our home when it's completed..anyways...my girls look forward to that day but it'll be awhile.

We just go to the lake or they find someone elses pool to swim in. They'd love one now with all the 80 degree weather we've been having.

Preferably on our boat, floating on salty water, if we're able. Otherwise, the neighborhood pool.

We are big fans of the pool in our subdivision. Plenty of kids to play with and plenty of adults to socialize with. A win/win for everyone. This summer I'll be teaching the last of our kids (3 year old son) how to swim.

We have one of those lame tiny blow- up pools, but the kids LOVE it. Buckets, water guns, clown sprinkler, water balloons...it all goes at the Little Blue Bungalow.

The only thing we have for a pool is a small one for the kids-but we regularly put the sprinklers on for the kids. (well, honestly, for us too!)

great pictures-looks refreshing!

We've been to the lake, but the water is still freezing! My girls don't mind braving it to tube, though! You can visit us there at http://roemenholiday.blogspot.com. Blessings!

Pools always sounded like so much fun to me, I'm sure your kids love it too. Have a great weekend!

We aren't much of a "water" family. Although daughter has been begging us to buy one. Since she's leaving for college in a year I don't think it's going to happen LOL.

Your pool looks great. I so wish we had one living in South Texas. I know we have at least 9 to 10 months of pool weather, but thankfully lots of friends have them and the beach is only 15 minutes away.

We joined a community pool this year for the first time. I hope we make good use of it.

One of the reasons we built the house we're in now is because the lot is perfect for adding a pool someday. When we first moved, we were hoping to do it within the next 2-3 years but now I think we're more on the 5-7 year plan.

That's ok though. Our kids are still really young.

Wish I could come float in your pool. :-)

I love that you bought your house for the pool--30 years old or not! My parents bought a tiny house on a not-so-great lake so we would have the opportunity to grow up on a lake. It was fantastic! We never had the nice boats or great water toys but we have priceless memories and tons of family fun!

We just bought one of those blow-up "family" pools and Hunter thinks he's in heaven!
