Christmas Peace!

What can I give him?
Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd
I would bring a lamb
If I were a Wise Man
I would do my part –
Yet what I can give him,
Give him my heart.
-Christina Rossetti

Celebrating Christmas last night at their grandparent’s home - the cousins particularly enjoyed the gift and meaning of “family.”

Music, laughter, stories shared … gratitude.

As the spirit of giving continues today in our home, my table is set for “12” for tonight.

One would never know that I’m using paper napkins, as my portion of the meal will be “soup and salad!”

After a beautiful candlelight service tonight, a time when church and homes can reach out to the lost and lonely, we will head to another family’s home for a prime rib dinner.

There we will celebrate the Prince of Peace.

The perfect gift – the Christ Child himself was a gift of peace to our world!

Christmas Peace to our friends – from the Coughlin Family!

(Very top picture is a blast from the past, 9 Christmas’s ago – I will admit, I do miss my kids being little!)

Hi Sandy.
It is a pleasure to meet you!
Thank you for leaving a lovely comment on my blog.
The best thing about your comment is that it lead me to you.
Your family is beautiful. I too miss my little children.
My 15 year old is off to London tomorrow, and I must say that all I want to do is grab his leg and beg him not to go. But like all good mothers, I will smile, make sure he packs extra sweaters and warm socks, kiss him, and tell him to have a fantastic time.
May you and your family have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year.

A Merry Belated Christmas to you and your family. At church tonight, our worship team sang, "In the Bleak Midwinter", one of my favorite Christmas hymns. How heartwarming to see one of the verses leading this post.

Thank you for all your inspiration, spiritually and through your hospitality. May your new year be richly blessed.
