MBNE Book Giveaway!

What exactly is goodwill in a marriage?

Goodwill is a tangible, practical expression of love that nurtures intimacy. Goodwill is a willingness to act in a spirit of cooperation, instead of trying to win arguments. It is proactive, alive, and dynamic.

You may be asking what goodwill, or even a good marriage, has to do with entertaining? Everything!

Being in sync with your husband is an essential ingredient to entertaining. To not be in harmony would really breaks the spirit of hospitality for all involved.

To read more about goodwill, you can head over to Sue’s at Praise and Coffee, as she invited me to write a guest post for her today (you have to scroll down a ways to get to the actual post.)

Leave a comment HERE, on my blog, and win a copy of Married but Not Engaged! Winner will be drawn on Wednesday.

(Photo: My sweetie and me in Virginia Beach last weekend, where we were guests on the 700 Club, talking about MBNE and also the 40 Days of Prayer book.)

I knew your husband wrote a book, but didn't know you did with him. How very cool is that? I think extremely.

Came over from Praise and Coffee. How fun to be a guest "poster" and to offer a giveaway. Love it.

Sandy I just love your blog - such an inspiration ... just how do you do it all? WOW!
My husband and I just realized two weeks ago how much we disconnected at the moment and really want to work on that - maybe this book can be a help.

Oooo, put my name in the draw!! I'm always up for another Coughlin book!!

Okay and now I just read your guest post. You and Paul seem to have a knack for figuring out what people need to hear. From the sounds of it, this is another one of those 'what every Christian couple needs to know' type books. Not that I would have expected any less from the two of you!!

A very encouraging and insightful post. And now I'm off to add your book to my Amazon wishlist ~ you know, just in case I don't win!!

I liked what you said about Goodwill not just being used clothes :p Seriously though, this sounds like an excellent book. I remember mentioning to my husband a while ago that maybe we should order this book and I think he was a little insulted that I would think we needed it when I read the title to him, so perhaps he wouldn't be so offended if I just won it.

If my Dh weren't in sync we would never entertain. We are such a good team in that respect that it never feels like work but an a way to share with friends a family our love.

Cheers! LA

Even though I consider my marraige to be a very good one, one can always use some advice or tips to make it even better. I'd also love to have the book so that when I'm done, I can pass it on to friends. :)

Sounds like a helpful resource, for our marriage and others, especially since we just became parents (of an 8-year old foster child) and our world suddenly revolves around him!
