Love Connection WINNER!

Mix, mix, mix ‘em up!

All of those wonderful comments were mixed up in my large salad bowl (some entered twice, for posting on your blog – thank you!), over and over again!

And the winner of the "Love Connection" package is: Kathy (anonymous)! I will email Kathy or maybe she'll read it here before I get a chance :)

Congrats to Kathy!

For those of you who are interested, Creativity (table settings, thrift, types of parties, ideas, conversation) clearly took first place in the poll, with recipes, Balcony Girls and inspiration following. Of course I will continue to sprinkle in canning, domesticity, entertaining with kiddos, and myth busters!

Speaking of creativity – I’m out the door to a Talent Show that I co-chair (started 4 years ago with my friend, Patti) at my daughter’s school. It’s a big production – fun and exciting – and my daughter, Abby, will be playing Concerto #5, 3rd Movement by F. Seitz on her violin, followed by the singing of Maria with two of her friends!

(Yes! they will be dressed up as nuns as I am accompanying them on the piano.) My hubby and two older sons will be there - cheering us on!

Thank you, everybody, for all of the inspiration that I received in the last couple of days from your comments. I will put them all to good use! Be watching for future GIVEAWAYs centered around these themes: Canning, Entertaining with Kids, and maybe another Outdoor Movie Night box!

BTW, Abby’s 5th grade class is doing a “Rhythm” act tonight, where each child was asked to bring a pot and an apron to school. Their teacher, Mrs. P, is very creative and musical herself. I can’t wait to see what they come up with! It’s called, “Mixing a Beat.”

(Photo: Abby stealing one of my favorite “dingle-ball” aprons, and a pan, to take to school.)

Shucks... With having spent my entire weekend with teenagers, coming home exhausted and then getting sick... I completely missed the giveaway and poll!!

What a fun idea you had and congrats to the winner! I'm hoping to catch it next time around! ;-)

Have a fabulously wonderful time at the talent show! In the middle of all the "work", make sure you take some time to sit back and enjoy it as well!! :-)

Nuts. I'm sure Kathy will love the prize!

Your daughter looks very cute! Imaginitive teachers have such a huge impact -- she's very fortunate!

Sorry I missed getting in the running for the contest. But I had to come over and tell you that my husband came to your site when you posted on my blog last week. He said, "I think I need to read her blog!" He thinks it's pretty cool (as do I) :)
